At Girl Scouts of Western Washington, our community is strong and our vision is clear:
Empowering every girl—girls of every race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, ability, gender identity, religion, or geographic location—to make the world a better place. To turn this vision into a reality for the girls in our area, we’re focused on four key initiatives: Fun, Flexible Options for Girls and Volunteers Both girls and volunteers will have meaningful and flexible options that reflect their diverse interests and needs.
Focus on Diversity Our leadership, staff, and volunteers will have the skills and resources needed to engage with the racially, ethnically, and generationally diverse communities we serve. Learn more about our diversity and equity work.
Strategic Partnerships and Fund Development Our organization will build strength and resilience through long-term relationships with partners who share our vision.
Seamless Technology It will be easy and simple to join, participate, and volunteer 24/7 via reliable, integrated technology.
We serve more than 25,000 girls and 12,500 adult members across 17 counties in western Washington, with five offices, four stores, and seven camps! At the end of the day, we’re here to empower girls. Will you join us?

Who We AreWe're 2.6 million strong—1.8 million girls and 800,000 adults who believe in the power of every G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™ to change the world. Our extraordinary journey began more than 100 years ago with the original G.I.R.L., Juliette Gordon “Daisy” Low. On March 12, 1912, in Savannah, Georgia, she organized the very first Girl Scout troop, and every year since, we’ve honored her vision and legacy, building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. We’re the preeminent leadership development organization for girls. And with programs from coast to coast and across the globe, Girl Scouts offers every girl a chance to practice a lifetime of leadership, adventure, and success. Our MissionGirl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
Girl Scout Promise On my honor, I will try: To serve God* and my country, To help people at all times, And to live by the Girl Scout Law.
Girl Scout LawI will do my best to be honest and fair, friendly and helpful, considerate and caring, courageous and strong, and responsible for what I say and do, and to respect myself and others, respect authority, use resources wisely, make the world a better place, and be a sister to every Girl Scout. * The word "God" can be interpreted in a number of ways, depending on your spiritual beliefs. When reciting the Girl Scout Promise, it’s okay to replace the word "God" with whatever word your spiritual beliefs dictate.
