SCOUT ME IN!

ADVENTURE  IS  WAITING!

When Can I Join: You're welcome to join at any time. You can register online at BeAScout.org by selecting Pack 3083.

How Old Does a Child Have To Be To Join: Boys and girls 5K-5th grader are welcome to join!

Why join Cub Scouts: It's a year-round activity that is fun, teaches ideals, strengthens families, helps kids develop interests and hobbies, provides adventure, creates fellowship, and provides a positive experience.

Things Cub Scouts Do: Outings and Field Trips, Community Service Projects, Derby Races, Camp and so much more!

How Often Do Cub Scouts Meet: The Pack (the entire group of Cub Scouts) holds meetings on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Individual Dens (grade level) meet on a schedule that works for them (the 2nd Thursday of the month is typical). Outings/Field Trips and Community Service are held in addition to meetings or sometimes in place of meetings. We all understand that life gets busy sometimes, so we just ask that you "Do Your Best" to attend as often as possible!

What Is The Cost For Joining Cub Scouts: Scouts in Pack 3083 can earn their own way through scouting by selling $300 worth of popcorn! A family can opt out of selling fundraising and pay $100 annual dues due in November. (5K scouts are $50 annually and there is a discount for multi-scout families). The annual dues cover the costs of Derby Races, Rocket Races, awards and badges, neckerchief and slide, leader books and registration, and pack and den activities. $33 of the dues goes to Boy Scouts of American National Council for re-chartering fees. Additional fundraisers may be done to add outings or help offset the cost of camp!

Scouts who join at September recruitment will pay $11 worth of BSA fees at sign up (the pro-rated amount of 2018's $33)
