Welcome to Pack 3689

Cub Scout Pack 3689 welcomes all Kindergarten through fifth grade youth from Simi Valley, California. Currently we have approximately 30 youth, organized into Lion dens, Tiger Cub dens, Wolf dens, Bear dens, fourth grader Webelos dens, and fifth grader Webelo II dens. We proudly offer Scouting's new Family Program through our Pack.

The Cub Scouts of Pack 3689 meet regularly to have fun and earn achievements. Bi-Weekly den meetings are like stepping-stones: each youth progresses a little further toward the next rank, learning skills as s/he goes. The monthly pack meetings are like milestones that mark achievements along the Cub Scout trail and celebrate accomplishments along the way.

Our pack meetings are once a month on the third Friday night (unless otherwise announced) at St. Peter Claver Church (Yosemite & Cochran) at 6:30pm. At the pack meetings all the dens get together for awards, skits, songs and a fun time. We also do lots of other fun activities, such as beach day, family camping, hiking, Pinewood Derby, and lots more.

Cub Scouting means "doing." Everything in Cub Scouting is designed to have the Scouts doing things. Activities are used to achieve the aims of Scouting—citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness. Many of the activities happen right in the den and pack. The most important are den meetings and the monthly pack meetings.

Apart from the fun and excitement of Cub Scout activities, the Cub Scout Promise, the Law of the Pack, and the Cub Scout sign, handshake, motto, and salute all teach good citizenship and contribute to a Scout's sense of belonging.

Since its beginning, the Cub Scout program has been a fun and educational experience concerned with values. Besides providing a positive place where youth can enjoy safe, wholesome activities, Cub Scouting focuses on building character, improving physical fitness, teaching practical skills, and developing a spirit of community service.
